About the position

CUMULUS MEDIA | Detroit has an immediate opening for a full-time entry-level Digital Media Coordinator. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to work closely with our programming, promotions, and sales teams to create engaging online content that aligns with our brand and client initiatives. The Digital Media Coordinator will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of digital media, including designing web pages, developing social media posts, driving streaming and podcast content, creating point-of-purchase materials, developing graphics, and editing video content. The ideal candidate will have a strong familiarity with the Adobe suite, particularly Photoshop, Audition, and Premiere, as well as experience in HTML and WordPress website development. Solid graphic design and writing skills are essential for success in this role, as they will help the candidate stand out in a competitive field. The position requires a self-starter who is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses excellent written and oral communication skills. The Digital Media Coordinator will be expected to manage multiple project requests simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality in their work. CUMULUS | Detroit operates three radio stations in the Detroit area, including WJR-760 AM News/Talk, WDRQ-93.1FM New Country, and WDVD-96.3 FM Hot Adult Contemporary. Collectively, these stations reach thousands of listeners daily, providing a dynamic environment for the Digital Media Coordinator to thrive and contribute to the overall success of our media initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work on highly time-sensitive projects, adhering to deadlines.
  • Manage multiple project requests simultaneously with quick turnaround time.
  • Create online content that engages audiences in brand and client initiatives.
  • Design web pages and develop social media posts.
  • Drive streaming and podcast content.
  • Create point-of-purchase materials and develop graphics.
  • Edit video content as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as designated by the Digital Director.

Requirements

  • Entry-level position with acclimation to website administration and graphic design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of image manipulation and social media.
  • Ability to adapt to proprietary computer systems.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and dependable work ethic.
  • Team player attitude with the aptitude to make decisions and work independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Audition, and Premiere.
