Responsibilities

  • Develop, curate, and manage all published content across social media platforms and the university websites.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure content accuracy and alignment with the university's brand.
  • Create and maintain a content calendar for timely updates and consistent posting.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance online visibility and engagement.
  • Monitor social media trends and incorporate innovative ways to reach target audiences.
  • Engage with followers and manage the university's online reputation.
  • Oversee daily management and updates of the university website for a user-friendly experience.
  • Work with the IT department to troubleshoot website issues and coordinate updates or redesigns.
  • Analyze website performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of digital content using analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to align digital media efforts with overall strategies.
  • Provide training and guidance on digital media best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital media, social media management, content creation, or website management.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems, including WordPress and Drupal.
  • Experience in managing website hosting, domains, and security protocols.
  • Experience with graphic design software and video editing tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics, and social media analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of basic coding languages (HTML, CSS, or JavaScript).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
