The Digital Media Producer at Manhattan College plays a crucial role in enhancing the College's online presence through the creation of engaging visual content. Reporting directly to the Director of Web Communications, this position is responsible for producing high-quality photographs and short-form videos that effectively showcase the College's brand, events, and community. The Digital Media Producer will work closely with the Marketing & Communication team to develop content strategies that align with the College's messaging and goals. This role requires a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices to ensure that the content produced resonates with the target audience and enhances the College's visibility across various digital platforms. In addition to content creation, the Digital Media Producer will manage the College's main photo database, ensuring that all visual assets are organized and easily accessible for team members. This includes overseeing the management of video and photography equipment, such as cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment. The position also involves creating and editing longer-form video content for specific marketing campaigns or institutional needs, which requires developing concepts, storyboards, and scripts for video projects. The Digital Media Producer will also oversee student workers and freelancers who assist with photo and video projects, providing guidance and direction to ensure that all content aligns with the College's brand and quality standards. Furthermore, the role includes managing the College's YouTube account and providing technical support for virtual events and live streaming as needed. This position is in-person and requires flexibility in scheduling, as some evening and weekend work will be necessary to cover important campus events and time-sensitive projects.
