The Digital Media Student Assistant position at the University of La Verne offers an exciting opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the Communications/Digital Media Department. This part-time role is designed for Federal Work Study eligible students and involves a variety of supporting duties that are essential to the operation of LVTV and LeoFM station. As a student assistant, you will be responsible for answering phones, typing, photocopying, running errands, and assisting in the organization of the broadcast office. You will also schedule studio and editing facilities, manage equipment reservations, and facilitate equipment check-in and check-out procedures. In addition to administrative tasks, you will play a crucial role in programming and production assistance. This includes helping students in radio labs and editing rooms, maintaining studios and transmitters, organizing media, and cleaning workspaces. You will also be involved in the maintenance and organization of the LeoFM/Digital Audio and Film/TV studio, which encompasses tasks such as charging batteries, checking out equipment, reserving editing bays, and labeling equipment. Your contributions will support faculty and staff as needed, and you will monitor the technical quality of LVTV and LeoFM broadcasts. Housekeeping duties may also be assigned as part of your responsibilities.
