About the position

The Digital Payments Product Manager at Ford Motor Company will play a crucial role in a strategic modernization program focused on enhancing the payments experience for customers. This position involves understanding the current payment landscape, designing an ideal future state, and advocating for necessary changes while managing a complex set of stakeholders. The role emphasizes customer empathy, data-driven decision-making, and compliance in delivering innovative payment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored and streamlined payments microservices for best-in-class products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across product, engineering, customer service, marketing, and legal to meet customer and compliance needs.
  • Manage backlog prioritization to maximize ROI and minimize time-to-value.
  • Define release and rollout plans while obtaining stakeholder buy-in.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related field preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in Product Management, technology, payments, or payments operations.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and writing detailed product requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in payments, billing, or receivables.
  • Expertise in building customer-facing user experiences for payments or fintech areas.
  • Experience in a regulated environment with knowledge of regulatory compliance.
  • Software development background or experience as a technical product manager.
  • Knowledge of Domain Oriented Microservices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in a matrixed team structure and influencing across product areas.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Ability to navigate complex decision-making in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Prior cloud platform experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
