About the position

The Digital Payments Product Manager at Ford Motor Company will play a crucial role in a large-scale modernization program focused on enhancing payment experiences for customers. This position requires a deep understanding of current payment systems, the ability to design future state solutions, and a strong advocacy for change. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver tailored payment microservices while ensuring compliance and maximizing ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored and streamlined payments microservices for best-in-class products.
  • Partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, customer service, marketing, and legal to meet customer and compliance needs.
  • Manage backlog prioritization to maximize ROI and minimize time-to-value.
  • Define release/rollout plans and obtain stakeholder buy-in.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related field preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in Product Management, technology, payments, or payments operations.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and writing detailed product requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in payments, billing, or receivables.
  • Expertise in building customer-facing user experiences for payments or fintech areas.
  • Experience in a regulated environment and understanding of regulatory compliance.
  • Software development background or experience as a technical product manager.
  • Knowledge of Domain Oriented Microservices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in a matrixed team structure and influencing across product areas.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Ability to collaborate in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills.
  • Prior cloud platform experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
