About the position

The Digital Product Analyst role at GOBankingRates involves analyzing complex data sets to drive informed decision-making and optimize business strategies in the digital media space. The analyst will become a subject matter expert, translating data insights into strategic recommendations that enhance organizational performance and support various business units.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize with embedded teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of key business drivers.
  • Ingest and aggregate key performance data and operational data sets to build structured models and analysis.
  • Participate in the analysis of large digital marketing data to identify patterns and provide actionable insights.
  • Utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to convey compelling business cases for recommendations.
  • Build relationships with the Data Science Team for advanced data modeling.
  • Share insights and strategic recommendations with measurable business impact.
  • Partner with Yield and Data Science teams to drive decision-making with critical insights.
  • Drive conversations with Data Engineering and Data Analytics to improve data access and accuracy.
  • Pivot between high-priority projects and changing business needs based on goals.
  • Foster relationships with co-workers, leadership, and stakeholders to maintain alignment in priorities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in digital marketing analytics within a digital advertising/marketing/media company.
  • Strong background in analytics, understanding of Statistical Significance and data modeling.
  • BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in utilizing BI tools, such as Tableau.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Complex problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, including formulas, functions, and pivot tables.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL and querying relational databases (nice to have).
