About the position

The Digital Product Analyst plays a crucial role in developing hypotheses and drawing insights through the analysis of site and digital product data. This position is integral to supporting the development of customer-facing solutions designed to drive business outcomes. Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, the Product Analyst will leverage insights to enhance the overall customer experience and contribute to the company's mission of providing high-quality gear for outdoor adventures. The responsibilities of the Digital Product Analyst include collaborating with the Product team to enhance revenue, retention, and engagement metrics. This involves hypothesis development, performing insights analysis, and creating dashboards that visualize key data points. The analyst will also support A/B testing and optimization programs, utilizing strong data storytelling to communicate findings effectively. Additionally, the role requires driving strategic decision-making and prioritization efforts by identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Developing KPI frameworks and providing digital analytics tagging recommendations to support data collection for business reporting is also a key responsibility. Furthermore, the Digital Product Analyst will work with both internal and external partners to ensure that data collection, processing, and governance are up to date and conform to industry standards. This position is based at our Austin, TX headquarters office, and candidates must be willing to relocate if not local, as the role requires onsite presence three days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product team to enhance revenue, retention, and engagement metrics.
  • Develop hypotheses and perform insights analysis to support product development.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to visualize key performance indicators.
  • Support A/B testing and optimization programs with strong data storytelling.
  • Drive strategic decision-making by identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop KPI frameworks and provide digital analytics tagging recommendations.
  • Work with internal and external partners to ensure data collection and governance are up to date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience working in an analytical role.
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL and Tableau; experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or another web analytics tool is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of statistics and A/B testing.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment; must be adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary.
  • Experience working with large datasets in a business environment.
