About the position

The Digital Product Manager for eCommerce Checkout at Columbia Sportswear is responsible for translating the product vision into actionable features and leading the development process to ensure alignment with business strategies. This role involves managing product opportunities, risks, and value, while enhancing the consumer experience through innovative digital solutions across various platforms. The position requires a strong understanding of the market and competition, as well as the ability to facilitate discussions and guide solution development from design to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Translate general product vision into specific product features and implement short-term planning through regular road mapping.
  • Prepare and lead refinements and planning within the team.
  • Provide guidance in assessing product opportunities and risks, and opportunities to increase the product's business value.
  • Lead and serve as the single point of contact for a product category, ensuring product vision and strategies are realized.
  • Lead each stage of the development process and ensure final product meets strategic goals.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of the market, competition, and current trends to create innovative solutions.
  • Organize workshops with product users to discover and validate hypotheses and develop optimal solutions.
  • Use a data-driven approach to redefine priorities of product category and lead discussions with stakeholders for alignment.
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, performance, and operational support.
  • Create and drive the product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities for a given product category.
  • Lead project change management and deliver change mitigation requirements to the business.
  • Identify documentation needs and guide the creation of business process flows, use cases diagrams, user journey mapping, and training documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in product management or related fields.
  • Strong competency with tools, systems, or procedures required for the job.
  • Previous product experience managing eCommerce Checkout and Payment.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g. Hybris, ATG, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) is a plus.
  • Experience transforming from siloed shopping experience to an Omni-Channel.
  • Ability to synthesize data and problem-solve to influence business decisions and ensure effective outcomes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Scrum Master Certification is a plus.
