About the position

The Digital Product Manager, Lead at Booz Allen is responsible for managing the product development life cycle for digital products and services, particularly focusing on the IRS Business Master File (BMF). This role involves engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs, developing product roadmaps, and providing innovative solutions to complex problems within the IRS IT landscape. The position requires substantial decision-making authority and includes mentoring and supervising team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage tasks and initiatives associated with the product development life cycle for digital products and services.
  • Engage IRS Business Master File (BMF) stakeholders to understand needs and develop a product roadmap.
  • Apply leading-edge principles and contribute to the development of new concepts.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex problems in the IRS IT and Business stakeholder landscape.
  • Mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a product manager role working with various functional and technical teams.
  • 8+ years of experience writing user stories, building and grooming product backlogs, and defining acceptance criteria.
  • 8+ years of experience engaging with clients and delivering solutions.
  • Experience developing products in Agile, SAFe, and Kanban environments.
  • Ability to balance client business requirements with the delivery team's technical capacity.
  • Experience facilitating discussions to bridge client requirements with implementable solutions.
  • Ability to create and manage MVP and Release product roadmaps through the product life cycle.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience delivering for IRS in a similar role.
  • Experience with project management to create, implement, and track product roadmaps.
  • Ability to motivate teams with clients to accomplish a common vision.
  • Possession of excellent analytical, presentation, and client-interfacing skills.
  • Agile Certification, including SAFe Practitioner, Product Manager, Product Owner, or Certified Scrum Certification.
