About the position

U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Digital Product Manager (Multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA. The Digital Product Manager is responsible for designing REST APIs, influence the product life cycle and evangelize US Bank's API as a Product culture. This role will ensure API products are easy to implement, well documented and designed to US Bank's high standards. This role will also utilize RESTful concepts, Swagger, JSON structure and API architecture principals.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and organize data to design and deliver API specifications
  • Create user stories and curate a product backlog for scrum teams
  • Manage daily team events and organize team communication using a variety of toolsets including Confluence, MS Teams, and Sharepoint
  • Analyze work flow, understand architecture, document business requirements and propose solutions
  • Contribute to enabling the customer-focused experience through product management, enterprise governance, standardized customer experience and developer portal properties
  • Work with internal and external partners to create and validate business critical use cases
  • Participate in and help guide daily product team standups
  • Help establish OKRs and own development outcomes
  • Participate in the creation and ongoing maintenance of Personas and Product Charters
  • Collaborate with other teams including other enterprise platforms, engineering, architecture, and UX
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, and an API specification using Swagger
  • Help draft technical product documentation
  • Participate in Agile rituals including daily standup, planning, grooming and quarterly planning sessions
  • Work with Senior product managers to clear roadblocks and identify dependencies to ensure a timely product delivery
  • Apply product management, industry, and market expertise to brainstorm and create additional use-cases for the API
  • Create and maintain documentation on business cases, user stories, processes and workflows in Confluence and Experience using JIRA to plan, monitor and track all deadlines
  • Write API documentation in Swagger
  • Drive the product planning- outlining the product roadmap and OKRs
  • Conduct daily stand ups, sprint planning sessions and ensure all the milestones and deadlines are met
  • Work with the following tools and technologies: SQL, Microservices, JSON, and Postman

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 2 years of experience designing REST APIs
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience designing REST APIs
  • 24 months of experience with creating and maintaining documentation on business cases, user stories, processes and workflows in Confluence
  • Experience using JIRA to plan, monitor and track all deadlines
  • Writing API documentation in Swagger
  • Driving the product planning- outlining the product roadmap and OKRs
  • Conducting daily stand ups, sprint planning sessions and ensuring all the milestones and deadlines are met
  • Working with SQL, Microservices, JSON, and Postman
