About the position

The Digital Product Manager at Arch Insurance is responsible for driving product strategy, roadmap development, and market delivery for digital products within the assigned business segment. This role involves collaborating with various teams to solve human and business problems through technology, ensuring that product offerings meet operational and financial objectives while optimizing revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Perform market research, market validation, and whitespace analysis to identify new opportunities for existing and new features and functionality.
  • Partner with product owners/business owners to build product roadmaps that will be incorporated into the broader company product portfolio plan.
  • Foster close relationships with key market constituents to validate product strategy and roadmap.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage product features and requirements from conceptual stages through product life cycles.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure consistent execution of product plans that result in timely and budget-compliant product delivery.
  • Engage business partners to develop and execute action plans to address gaps.
  • Work with IT and business partners to ensure the digital product in operation is well understood and supported.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to plan and prioritize system releases and specific release content.
  • Assist with preparation of business case (financial/ROI) analysis to quantify and determine the value of current or potentially new systems/applications.
  • Understand the business and follow the software development methodology and processes while effectively working with software engineering/development teams.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in the commercial P&C insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge in P&C Policy and Billing Capabilities.
  • Experience with Guidewire Policy and Billing implementations, specifically in a planning or requirements gathering role.
  • Understanding of usability and user experience best practices.
  • Experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions for building best-in-class digital products.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle development.
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze, and interpret the voice of the customer through various data sources.
  • Good consensus building skills and ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to overcome internal barriers and negotiate resource constraints to produce successful digital initiatives.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Prior experience working with 3rd party vendors to deliver results.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $115,000 - $163,000/year, incentive eligible.
  • Total individual compensation includes base salary, short & long-term incentives.
