About the position

FreightWaves is seeking an experienced Digital Product Manager to lead the development of UI solutions within the product team. This role involves collaborating with software development teams to deliver advanced analytics tools for the logistics and supply chain industry. The position is primarily remote but requires monthly company-paid travel for team events.

Responsibilities

• Leading product development processes for existing and new analytical tools.
• Interfacing across different business verticals to document constraints, requirements, measures of success, and risks.
• Writing user stories, testing software, and performing cross-functional tasks typical in a start-up environment.
• Collaborating with a full-stack development team, including data scientists.
• Engaging with customers to identify product opportunities and present the product roadmap.
• Prioritizing development efforts to align with corporate strategy and the development roadmap.
• Leading software demos for internal and external audiences.
• Acting as the intermediary between the software development team and the rest of the business to ensure alignment on requirements.
• Analyzing usage data to gain insights on client software usage and advising on priorities.
• Staying updated on industry trends and software tools relevant to the industry.
• Creating and advising on product-related documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in software development teams, preferably in an agile environment.
• Experience or domain knowledge in the logistics/supply chain industry.
• Experience leading product efforts for UI software that presents data for strategic and tactical decision-making.
• Ability to break down large projects and create actionable plans from software prototypes or designs.
• Willingness to identify and drive process improvements in FreightWaves' SDLC.
• Strong communication, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
