About the position

Sound Credit Union is seeking a Digital Product Manager to join our team, responsible for the effective management and development of digitally based products and channels that enhance the member experience. In this role, you will oversee the full product lifecycle, collaborating closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and technical teams to create product and feature roadmaps, delivery strategies, and product support communications. Your efforts will be crucial in ensuring that the digital member experience aligns with Sound's brand values and mission, which is to stand with our members through all waves of life. As the Digital Product Manager, you will be tasked with understanding and anticipating member needs through comprehensive research, market trend analysis, and user testing. You will act as a mediator between members and technical teams, developing requirements, designs, prototypes, and delivery plans. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining the product vision and roadmap, managing product and sprint backlogs, and conducting cost-benefit analyses for key features to ensure effective stewardship of resources and a positive return for our members. In addition, you will lead the implementation of new features and enhancements, communicate plans and results effectively, and work with vendor partners to align product roadmaps. Your role will also involve providing upper-tier support during incident management events, ensuring that our digital products perform reliably and meet the quality standards expected by our members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall performance of digital products and channels, focusing on member experience, performance reliability, and quality of service.
  • Conduct research to understand and anticipate member needs and wants, utilizing market trends, member feedback, and user testing.
  • Serve as a mediator between members and technical teams to develop requirements, designs, prototypes, and delivery plans.
  • Develop and maintain the product vision and roadmap, including management of product and sprint backlogs.
  • Create high-level cost-benefit analyses for key features in the roadmap and measure adherence post-delivery.
  • Lead the implementation of features, enhancements, proofs of concept, and pilots to improve member experience and back-office efficiencies.
  • Communicate plans, learnings, and results through effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborate with vendor partners to align product roadmaps and deliver projects.
  • Provide upper-tier support during incident management events.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of product management experience required.
  • At least 2 years in technical product implementation and management required.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with an emphasis in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be bondable.
