About the position

The Digital Product Manager at Highmark Health plays a pivotal role in representing the customer's voice throughout the product development lifecycle. This position is responsible for establishing and promoting the vision and strategy for assigned digital products, articulating the rationale behind these products, and owning the digital product roadmap. The Digital Product Manager will bridge the gap between technology, business, and customer needs to create exceptional digital experiences that address customer problems, drive business value, and achieve desired outcomes. The incumbent will define the product's fundamental value proposition, outline the vision and execution plan, gain alignment and support from key strategic partners and stakeholders, and oversee the execution of that vision. Collaboration with digital design, digital development, and data & analytics teams is essential to align and coordinate efforts for effective delivery. The role requires familiarity with customer digital journeys, preferences, and expectations. Under guidance, the Digital Product Manager will identify problem areas, points of friction, and jobs to be done, creating and testing hypotheses that translate these problems into relevant digital solutions and experiences. As the point of contact for assigned digital products, both internally and externally, the manager will stay informed about new technologies, market trends, and vendor capabilities, determining whether existing digital capabilities can solve identified problems or if new capabilities are needed. This includes participating in evaluations for build, buy, or partner decisions and vendor integrations in collaboration with various stakeholders. The Digital Product Manager will define, track, and monitor key performance indicators and outcomes of digital products, implementing strategies to iterate and continuously improve product performance. By leveraging quantitative metrics and qualitative observations, the manager will derive customer insights and identify opportunities for digital product improvement. A holistic product vision and corresponding product strategy will be developed to maximize value, with clear communication of roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions across various audiences, from the product team to key stakeholders.
