About the position

The Digital Product Owner will lead a cross-functional agile team to develop ad product solutions within a retail media network, focusing on enhancing customer engagement and driving incremental ad spend for Brand Partners. This role involves owning the product roadmap, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of product features that align with business goals and market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation, support, and improvement of onsite ad products to enhance customer experience and meet strategic goals.
  • Deliver on and contribute to the roadmap for ad products across digital channels.
  • Collaborate with agile development teams, Brand Partners, and internal stakeholders to bring new ad product features and capabilities to life.
  • Enhance ad products to support increased ad spend and customer engagement.
  • Work alongside the Senior Manager, Ad Products to develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap.
  • Gather and prioritize requirements from stakeholders, users, and analytics to understand Brand Partner needs.
  • Lead an Agile Pod consisting of cross-functional team members in the iterative delivery of ad products.
  • Coordinate with engineering, scrum master, quality assurance, and deployment teams for timely product releases.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on product status and roadmap changes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product decisions.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure the success of ad products and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams to drive product development and success.
  • Facilitate retrospectives and feedback sessions for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product ownership or related roles within digital marketing, media, or e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of agile development practices and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, prioritize, and manage product roadmaps.
  • A strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, comfortable in a data-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, computer science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a digital product owner or digital product manager in CPG retailer, eCommerce, or related industry.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a retail media network, preferably for a CPG retailer.
  • Experience working within Agile framework.
  • Ability to communicate relevant details and influence decision making based on the audience.
  • Understanding of advertising technology and/or marketing technology concepts, with previous experience in the advertising industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building partnerships across teams.
  • Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and deal with ambiguity.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with a passion for driving innovation and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
