About the position

The Digital Product Owner will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing current digital solutions while also expanding into new areas to ensure a relentless focus on customer experience. This position is integral to supporting products and functionalities that are part of the digital platform and ecosystem. The Digital Product Owner will collaborate closely with other product managers and owners, as well as agile partners including technical leads, scrum masters, business analysts, developers, and UX designers within a scrum team. The goal is to create or mature digital solutions that not only meet but exceed the evolving expectations of our customers. In this role, the Digital Product Owner will be responsible for providing a clear description of solutions and outlining product features in a manner that is easily comprehensible for both the development team and business partners. This includes creating and managing a product backlog to prioritize user stories for implementation, partnering with team members to define, track, and test user stories throughout the agile development lifecycle, and providing subject matter expertise and leadership for the product. Additionally, the Digital Product Owner will ensure that the needs and expectations of internal product stakeholders are met, promoting transparency by effectively communicating SCRUM methodologies. Collaboration with external vendors may also be necessary for requirements definition, feature development, and overall management. The role may involve performing industry research to support feature development, ensuring that the product remains competitive and aligned with market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Manage current digital solutions and expand to new solutions.
  • Create and manage a product backlog to prioritize user stories for implementation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Agile development experience.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum practices.
  • 2+ years of experience working within a product owner framework or similar function.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience creating and maintaining a product backlog and prioritizing backlog items.
  • Ability to clearly communicate business requirements to the team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience interacting with senior-level management.
  • Strong writing ability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Financial services industry experience.
