About the position

As a Digital Production Systems Product Manager at Baker Hughes, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy and execution of our Artificial Lift team. This position requires a deep understanding of production optimization systems and the ability to tie together the strategies of multiple functions to create a simplified product offering. You will be responsible for defining the strategy for Artificial Lift Solutions (ALS) and how it integrates with our customers' digital solutions, including products like Leucipa, FusionPro, Production Link, Edge, and Veros. Your role will involve defining offerings for intelligent solutions that encompass hardware, software, and user interface options. You will collaborate closely with sales teams to establish field trials for Edge and Veros applications, while also reviewing and defining strategies around Advanced Process Control (APC), Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) power quality, ESP optimization, and predicting failures. A key focus will be on enhancing field personnel efficiency and improving the efficiency of sizing applications. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will work with commercial and marketing teams to gather market research, voice of the customer insights, and competitor intelligence to inform product development. You will provide high-level support for the product line, including applications, technical selling, and product performance. Together with marketing, you will develop and deploy strategies for both established and emerging markets, ensuring that our value proposition aligns with market needs. Your efforts will contribute to business growth through a comprehensive life-cycle strategy that balances new product introductions, advanced technology development, and service productivity programs. You will proactively identify appropriate segmenting, targeting, and positioning of our products and services within the competitive landscape. This role also involves planning and designing platform strategies for both short-term and long-term product positioning, ensuring operational efficiencies and speed to market. You will create product/service roadmaps that optimize profitability while ensuring that technology advancements are validated with customers and regulatory agencies. Additionally, you will lead initiatives that combine product development with process improvement activities, driving quality and reliability improvements. Your responsibilities will also include establishing pricing and profitability targets for the portfolio, leading the New Product Introduction (NPI) planning phase, and ensuring commercial success in coordination with sales operations. As a representative of Baker Hughes, you will engage in external discussions and technical forums, sharing insights and expertise through presentations and relevant publications. Responsibilities

  • Deliver NPI commercial success in coordination with commercial & sales operations.
  • Participate in Stage Gate product and technology development teams.
  • Represent the organization in outside discussions and technical forums.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with production optimization systems.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in sales, operations, technology, or technical support.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics.
  • Ability to travel internationally (>25%).
