About the position

The Digital & Social Assistant Marketing Manager (Kids) at Simon & Schuster is responsible for managing parent-focused social media channels and executing digital marketing plans for children's book titles. This role involves content creation, strategy development, and community engagement to enhance the visibility and reach of Simon Kids' publications.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Simon Kids social channels including strategy development, content calendar planning, content creation, and engagement with followers.
  • Creating native social content such as Instagram Reels, Stories, photos, and memes for social media channels.
  • Driving strategy and overseeing the creation of digital assets and content for Simon Kids social media channels.
  • Brainstorming, planning, and managing the execution of digital marketing campaigns for children's titles.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of job experience in social media or marketing role.
  • Demonstrable passion for books and reading, especially children's books, and knowledge of the children's publishing landscape.
  • Content creation experience (photos and videos).
  • Social community management experience and knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, X, TikTok, and YouTube).
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with digital analytics and social listening tools.
  • Proven ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, and/or HTML skills.
  • Experience working with authors.
