About the position

The Digital Solution Architect will play a crucial role in designing and delivering innovation and growth for the Banking Solutions business. Reporting to the Head of Architecture for Digital Technology, this position is responsible for defining and collaborating on the next generation of converged digital capabilities that deliver value for Banking Solutions. The role focuses on documenting and delivering modern designs and patterns for digital capabilities, shepherding business outcomes from ideation through to delivery and operation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to subject matter expertise across technology domains, leveraging modern engineering and architectural patterns to design systems that deliver world-class digital customer experiences.
• Introduce, articulate, and document best practice target state designs and concepts utilizing modern, cloud-native patterns to accelerate delivery of capabilities.
• Design next generation data solutions that standardize and make data highly available for channel consumption.
• Partner with key members of the Digital Technology organization to champion technology modernization concepts within the Agile delivery environment.
• Lead evaluations of new and existing vendors for fit into the strategy and technology approach for Digital.
• Define and drive adoption of integration patterns to ensure channel-agnostic availability of quality data.
• Align with product partners for the intake and evaluation of Digital product features to influence design decisions.
• Identify and articulate the business value of the architectural roadmap.

Requirements

• 10+ years of global solution architecture or senior engineering delivery experience in a high growth digital environment.
• Master understanding of digital architecture including modern front and back-end software stacks, cloud-native and on-premise infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in the design and delivery of modern data capabilities including SQL, NoSQL, and ETL functions.
• Demonstrable track record of success in delivering digital capabilities for consumer-facing products.
• Deep expertise in adopting and operating within a modern SDLC and engineering practice (Agile, DevSecOps).
• Thorough understanding of modern information security and data protection methodologies.
• Collaborative approach with low ego, motivating and energizing others to achieve common goals.
• Superlative communication skills tailored to influence various audiences.
