About the position

The Digital Solutions Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical support for Roche Diagnostic Commercial (RDC) products post-sales. This includes installation, testing, integration, and maintenance of products, as well as consulting with sales and customers on system solutions. The position is primarily remote but requires travel to customer sites for consultations and installations, ensuring customer satisfaction and effective issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage the installation of IT product solutions at customer sites, both remotely and on-site.
• Determine customer needs and set appropriate installation expectations, ensuring resources are aligned and available within the specified time-frame.
• Perform validation processes to evaluate the effectiveness of IT solutions.
• Ensure all customers are fully satisfied with their IT product installation.
• Serve as a technical resource for complex system issues, manage critical customer situations, and troubleshoot during installation and post go-live phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Medical Technology, Life Sciences AND 2 years of laboratory IT, general IT, product line experience, OR 4 years of laboratory IT, general IT, or product line experience.
• Ability to travel 25% or more to customer sites.
• Fluency with healthcare standards and technologies (HL7, ASTM, HIPAA, Networking, Microsoft Windows, Cache Intersystems).
• In-depth knowledge of the clinical customer base and critical components of an LIS and laboratory IT processes and workflows.
• Demonstrate effective communication and troubleshooting with requirements for both technical and non-technical groups.
• Ability to evaluate complex processes and apply critical-thinking skills to complete assignments that are complex in nature.

Nice-to-haves

• One year of project or process management experience that demonstrates the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Currently reside within 50 miles of a major metropolitan US airport.
