About the position

At USAA, we are dedicated to facilitating the financial security of millions of U.S. military members and their families. As a Digital/Technical Product Manager Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting our Property and Casualty (P&C) digital claims texting and digital contact center strategy. This position requires interfacing with various technology and business teams across the organization, leveraging your claims expertise in a matrixed delivery environment. You will influence the development of text messaging, telephony, and conversational strategies to drive business value through innovative technology solutions. In this role, you will lead the discovery, delivery, and performance of digital and technology products, ensuring they meet the needs of USAA and its members. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to tackle complex problems and optimize customer experiences with our market offerings. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing multi-platform technology and digital solutions, as well as optimizing existing products to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). You will employ User Centered Design and Design Thinking methodologies to bring world-class digital products to market. You will be responsible for developing product strategies, visions, and goals, justifying decision-making related to innovation types and investments for complex digital and technology products. Ensuring strategic alignment across products and stakeholders will be key to your success. This position allows for remote work within the continental U.S., with occasional business travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage Digital or Technology research, business and market intelligence to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Lead team and stakeholders to define and translate product opportunities into initiatives and execution strategies.
  • Manage complex Digital or Technology product opportunities from idea to market validation through collaboration with stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Drive and quantify product investments through Business Case artifacts, communicating the value proposition effectively.
  • Utilize data-driven problem-solving techniques to report on product performance against KPIs/KRIs and share best practices.
  • Guide team to generate insights and implement improvements for Digital or Technology products and experiences.
  • Prepare compelling presentations to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Conduct internal and external research to apply industry best practices and trends to enhance product effectiveness.
  • Manage ambiguity and influence others to drive clarity and execution plans among teams and stakeholders.
  • Mentor team members and act as an escalation point to resolve issues, ensuring compliance with risk and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 8 years of Digital/Technology Product Management experience, including Strategy/Planning, Innovation, User Experience, Process Engineering, Analytics, and/or Research/Testing; OR an Advanced degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Technology/Digital products and emerging technology platforms, applications, data analysis, and research techniques.
  • Proven track record of effectively developing, influencing, presenting, and communicating complex business, digital, or technology concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Expert understanding of digital contact center capabilities and text messaging.
  • Experience transforming telephony and contact center through digital enhancements, preferably in P&C Claims.
  • Claims experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter.
  • Experience establishing and driving digital priorities in a matrixed environment.
  • Proven experience delivering complex, integrated products across matrixed teams.
