About the position

At USAA, we are on a mission to facilitate the financial security of millions of U.S. military members and their families. We are seeking multiple Digital/Technical Product Managers to join our Digital Channels & Platforms team. This role is crucial in performing the discovery, delivery, and performance of digital and technology products and their experiences for USAA and its members. The position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and partners to tackle complex problems and optimize the customer experience with our market offerings. You will design and drive the implementation of multi-platform technology and digital solutions, while also optimizing and improving existing products and experiences across all channels and platforms to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). In this role, you will employ Human-Centered Design and Design Thinking methodologies to bring world-class digital and technology-driven products to market. You will independently leverage digital or technology research, business and market intelligence, and data-driven insights to identify opportunities, propose solutions, create and maintain roadmaps, and improve performance. You will assist in translating digital or technology product and experience opportunities into initiatives and drive the development of execution strategies. Additionally, you will shepherd product opportunities from idea to market validation through collaboration with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs). Your responsibilities will also include creating Business Case artifacts for scoping product opportunities, continuously leveraging data-driven problem-solving techniques to understand and report on product performance, and developing customer relationships to understand current and future business needs. You will prepare compelling presentations to communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience and research industry best practices to increase the effectiveness of our digital and technology products. Ensuring risks associated with business activities are effectively identified and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies is also a key part of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Independently leverage Digital or Technology research, business and market intelligence, and data-driven insights to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Assist with translating Digital or Technology product and experience opportunities into initiatives and drive development of execution strategy.
  • Shepherd Digital or Technology product and experience opportunities from idea to market validation through collaboration with relevant stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Create Business Case artifacts and hypotheses for scoping of Digital or Technology product and experience opportunities.
  • Continuously leverage data-driven problem-solving techniques and analytical rigor to understand and report on product and experience performance against KPIs and KRIs.
  • Generate meaningful insights through a variety of tools and resources to uncover areas of opportunity for product improvements.
  • Develop customer relationships to collaborate and understand current and future business needs.
  • Prepare compelling presentations and other forms of communication to present complex concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Research and identify industry best practices and trends to increase effectiveness of Digital or Technology products.
  • Maintain and apply a maturing knowledge of the Business, Technology, UX, and relevant experiences and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 4 years Digital/Technology Product Management experience, including experience in Strategy/Planning, Innovation, User Experience, Process Engineering, Analytics, Research/Testing.
  • 1 year of Customer Contact Channel experience within Insurance or Financial services industry can substitute for 1 year of the minimum experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop, present, influence, and communicate business decisions.
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology.
