About the position

At USAA, we are on a mission to facilitate the financial security of millions of U.S. military members and their families. We are seeking a dedicated Digital/Technical Product Manager for our Digital Channels & Platforms team. This role is pivotal in performing the discovery, delivery, and performance of digital and technology products and their experiences for USAA and its members. The position requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week, with potential locations including San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, and Tampa, FL. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position. In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to tackle complex and challenging problems, optimizing the customer experience with our market offerings. You will design and drive the implementation of multi-platform technology and digital solutions, while also optimizing and improving existing products and experiences across all channels and platforms to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). Utilizing Human-Centered Design and Design Thinking methodologies, you will bring world-class digital and technology-driven products to market. Your responsibilities will include leveraging digital or technology research, business and market intelligence, and data-driven insights to identify opportunities, propose solutions, create and maintain roadmaps, and improve performance. You will assist in translating product and experience opportunities into initiatives and drive the development of execution strategies. Additionally, you will shepherd product opportunities from idea to market validation through collaboration with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs). Continuous data-driven problem-solving techniques will be employed to understand and report on product performance against KPIs and KRIs, while also generating insights to inform product improvements. Building relationships with customers and preparing compelling presentations to communicate complex concepts will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform discovery, delivery, and performance of digital and technology products and experiences for USAA and its members.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to optimize customer experiences with market offerings.
  • Design and implement multi-platform technology and digital solutions.
  • Optimize and improve existing products and experiences across all channels and platforms to drive KPIs and KRIs.
  • Employ Human-Centered Design and Design Thinking methodologies to bring products to market.
  • Leverage digital or technology research and data-driven insights to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Translate product and experience opportunities into initiatives and drive execution strategies.
  • Shepherd product opportunities from idea to market validation through collaboration with stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Create Business Case artifacts for scoping product opportunities.
  • Leverage data-driven problem-solving techniques to report on product performance against KPIs and KRIs.
  • Develop customer relationships to understand current and future business needs.
  • Prepare presentations to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Research industry best practices and trends to enhance product effectiveness.
  • Maintain knowledge of Business, Technology, UX, and relevant processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 4 years of Digital/Technology Product Management experience, including Strategy/Planning, Innovation, User Experience, Process Engineering, Analytics, Research/Testing.
  • 1 year of Customer Contact Channel experience within the Insurance or Financial services industry can substitute for 1 year of minimum experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop, present, influence, and communicate business decisions.
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology.
