About the position

The Digital Technical Product Owner, AVP at Citi is a seasoned professional responsible for overseeing the end-to-end acquisitions customer journey for Citi consumer products in the Branded Cards and Retail Bank space. This role involves applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge to develop new techniques and improve processes, while integrating subject matter expertise to meet business objectives. The position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to influence decisions through advice and counsel, significantly impacting project outcomes and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the working backwards documents for feature releases including Product release doc, Press Release, FAQs.
  • Utilizes research, user studies, metrics, and competitive analysis to understand customer and business needs for a platform product.
  • Compares features for competitive review to inform prioritization within a product release.
  • Identifies innovations or performs 'test and learn' experiments to create features that add business and customer value.
  • Participates in customer research to inform priorities for the platform product backlog.
  • Maintains awareness of platform feature health and delivers regular progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement with peers and stakeholders.
  • Helps define business, customer, and platform use cases and requirements.
  • Creates user stories and system interaction diagrams for platform feature solutions.
  • Hosts user story grooming sessions.
  • Informs the design of the user experience including wireframes and mock-ups.
  • Continuously monitors feature development by maintaining bug catalogs at the feature level.
  • Reviews product demos with the development team and stakeholders against acceptance criteria for the feature set.
  • Prepares launches and monitors platform performance, adoption, and operational health for feature sets.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a product development/product management environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; data-driven and results-oriented.
  • Experience in running high traffic, distributed, cloud-based services.
  • Experience in affecting large culture change.
  • Experience leading infrastructure programs.
  • Skilled at working with third-party service providers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
