About the position

The Digital Technology Project Manager will play a crucial role in the Digital Technology Program Management Team, independently overseeing the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets for various digital technology projects. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project leadership and team members to ensure project objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and manage project vision with project leadership team to ensure an understanding of the project plan and scope, in conjunction with the company's commitments and customer expectations.
  • Define deliverables, scope of work, and develop detailed project schedules to ensure value is provided to the customer/requestor and business objectives and goals are met.
  • Build highly effective project teams and establish effective relationships with impacted departments and functional areas.
  • Communicate expectations and instill accountability in team members.
  • Resolve conflicts, promote work sharing, and motivate teams toward common goals.
  • Apply project management principles including project financial management, scope and schedule management, risk and opportunity management, critical problem solving, variance and root cause analysis techniques to ensure on time delivery of product capabilities that meet customer requirements.
  • Escalation of issues, along with proposed plan, to leadership.
  • Make timely and sound business decisions that support business objectives.
  • Summarize and present key information to senior leadership enabling them to make decisions.
  • Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through effective organization, prioritization, and time management practices to meet operational objectives.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement and lean initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or at least 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management.
  • Experience with project management oversight of infrastructure, security, and software development initiatives.
  • Experience building and managing schedules in MS Project.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a government and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP / ERP systems.
  • Experience with Business Warehouse, Application Development, Infrastructure, and Cyber Security projects.
  • Experience with multiple project methodologies including waterfall and agile Scrum methodology.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
