About the position

The Digital Video Editing Teacher (Part Time) role involves planning and facilitating interactive instructional sessions in digital video editing. The position is designed for an individual who can work collaboratively with students of varying skill levels and backgrounds, under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development. The teacher will assist students in developing their digital video editing skills while maintaining consistent communication with the director.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and facilitates collaborative and interactive digital video editing instructional sessions.
  • Meets regularly with the Director of Educational Development.
  • Assists students in the development of a variety of digital video editing skills.
  • Maintains consistent communication with the Director of Educational Development.
  • Models appropriate academic and social behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree.
  • Teaching and/or tutoring experience is required.
  • Extensive digital arts experience is necessary.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility are required.
  • Knowledge and ability to demonstrate skill in digital arts are necessary.
  • Ability to develop unit and lesson plans referencing content curriculum standards is required.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to drive future instruction is necessary.
  • Ability to work independently applying critical thinking skills and problem solving to various situations is required.
  • Must be able to instruct students of varying skill and experience levels in multiple programs based on interest and ability.
