About the position

The Digital Video Editing Teacher (Part Time) role involves planning and facilitating interactive instructional sessions in digital video editing. The position is designed to support students in developing their skills in digital arts under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and facilitates collaborative and interactive digital video editing instructional sessions.
  • Meets regularly with the Director of Educational Development.
  • Assists students in the development of a variety of digital video editing skills.
  • Maintains consistent communication with the Director of Educational Development.
  • Models appropriate academic and social behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree.
  • Teaching and/or tutoring experience is required.
  • Extensive digital arts experience is necessary.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
  • Demonstrates responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility.
  • Knowledge and ability to demonstrate skill in digital arts.
  • Ability to develop unit and lesson plans referencing content curriculum standards.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to drive future instruction.
  • Ability to work independently applying critical thinking skills and problem solving.
