About the position

The NAM Citigold/Citigold Private Client team of Citi Wealth is focused on ambitious growth targets to enhance the digital wealth platform across all segments of the wealth continuum. This role is pivotal in not only developing and enhancing the trading and Guided Investing Platform but also in crafting a comprehensive strategy to drive digital engagement across Citi's various properties and segments. To fulfill our brand promise, we must operate as a truly client-centric organization, delivering a high-tech, high-touch experience for the full Citi relationship, particularly in the U.S. The Digital Wealth Product Senior Group Manager will spearhead the strategy and implementation of Consumer's digital wealth product offerings. This position will collaborate closely with business and functional leaders within and across the organization to execute our growth roadmap, aimed at achieving strategic and financial objectives within the U.S. Consumer Wealth Management business. The role requires developed execution, communication, and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business priorities and successful delivery. As a senior management level position, the Digital Wealth Product Senior Group Manager will manage a diverse range of Product Management employees, set strategic direction, provide leadership, and oversee budget management. This role is also responsible for developing product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through their life cycles in collaboration with Digital/Tech Management and Product and Control team members. The overarching goal is to coordinate product promotion to develop new markets, increase market share, and secure a competitive position. Key responsibilities include managing a professional team to achieve established goals, leading strategic product roadmaps, overseeing product marketing for core products, driving client value propositions, and managing market research to innovate product offerings. The manager will also define and launch new products, assess risks in business decisions, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, safeguarding Citigroup and its clients. This role is integral to the success of Citi's digital wealth initiatives and requires a deep understanding of the financial services landscape, particularly in relation to high net worth clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for the team, including performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead strategic product roadmaps, product development, program launches, and program marketing to maximize product benefits.
  • Survey and analyze competitive industry landscapes to identify trends, threats, and opportunities for product managers.
  • Manage day-to-day product marketing for core products, focusing on product delivery, client experience, and communication strategies.
  • Drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, and competitive differentiation.
  • Develop and execute functional strategies for specific regions or business units, coordinating across units.
  • Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmaps, and address product commoditization challenges.
  • Oversee all aspects of program life cycle management, including market demands and technology trends.
  • Drive innovation by collaborating with external partners to develop products and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Manage acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals.
  • Define and launch new products, features, and capabilities, participating in technology development and market launch activities.
  • Develop and communicate a business plan for market approach, coordinating team procedures and client management.
  • Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and maintaining Citigroup's reputation.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in product management or related fields.
  • 8-10+ years of managerial experience in a global and matrixed environment.
  • Required Licensing/Registration: Series 7, Series 24, and Series 66.
  • Experience managing cross-functional areas with direct and indirect reports, including risk, finance, and marketing.
  • Working knowledge of systems, theories, and practices relevant to product management and practical experience across multiple business cycles.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry and competitor products/services, particularly in Global Capital Markets and Managed Investments.
  • Expertise in investment products, services, and securities laws and regulations, especially for high net worth clientele.
  • In-depth experience in structured management across traditional and alternative asset classes.
