About the position

The Digital Web Servers (SRE) role is focused on managing and maintaining web server environments, specifically utilizing technologies such as Nginx or Apache. The position requires strong Linux system administration skills and the ability to troubleshoot various systems and services. The candidate will also participate in an on-call rotation and collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure optimal server performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and configure web servers, specifically Nginx or Apache, including reverse proxy setups.
• Administer JBoss or WildFly application servers.
• Perform Linux system administration tasks, including troubleshooting and managing Linux systems and services.
• Participate in on-call rotation for server support and incident management.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve server-related issues.

Requirements

• Experience with web server configurations, specifically Nginx or Apache.
• Proven experience in JBoss or WildFly administration.
• Strong Linux system administration skills, including troubleshooting and bash scripting.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation for server support.
• Experience working with third-party vendors.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and routing.
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery tools like Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Familiarity with collaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, and ServiceNow.
