The Digitization Temporary Seasonal Mail Clerk position at the Montana Department of Revenue involves processing incoming mail and providing administrative support within the Information Management Bureau. This role is crucial for ensuring the secure handling of taxpayer information and payments, particularly during the peak workload period from February through June. The clerk will utilize automated processing equipment and mail tracking systems to manage mail according to USPS and departmental procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming mail according to USPS and department postal procedures.
  • Utilize automated processing equipment and mail tracking systems.
  • Provide administrative services in support of data processing, payment processing, image processing, and records management.
  • Assist in ensuring secure handling and processing of taxpayer information and payments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One-year experience in mail services, office operations, and/or records management.
  • Knowledge of USPS and Department postal procedures, regulations, and requirements.
  • Skills in research and analysis, accuracy and attention to detail, conflict resolution, and customer service.
