About the position

ASRC Federal Communications is seeking a Dining Facility Manager for our ISS2 contract supporting our Air Force customer. This position is located on Wake Island. The successful DFAC Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of catering operations within his/her area of responsibility. The DFAC Manager will be a key member of the management team. His/her primary objectives will be enhancing current operations, increasing efficiency, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires a strong focus on operational excellence and the ability to lead a team effectively in a remote environment. The successful candidate will manage the DFAC staff, contribute catering services, and food & beverage preparation/planning expertise. Responsibilities include coordinating food & beverage services, ensuring adequate safety standards are maintained, and ensuring compliance with health & sanitation regulations. The DFAC Manager will also be responsible for organizing, training, and leading the DFAC staff, preparing invoices and record keeping, and preparing expense budgets. Menu planning and preparation, ordering and maintaining inventories, and recommending improvements to current policy and procedure are also key responsibilities. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, ensuring proper dress and appearance standards are maintained, and maintaining effective lines of communication with site management and customers are essential functions of this role. The DFAC Manager will take an innovative approach to problem-solving and perform other functions as necessary to achieve operational objectives. This position requires industry-standard qualifications, preferably from a military background, and DFAC (Dining Facility) Management experience. Successful completion of formal food services training is also required, along with a valid US driver's license. All persons employed for this contract must be U.S. citizens and qualified to obtain and/or maintain a personnel security clearance with the U.S. Government.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Industry-standard qualifications preferably from a military background.

  • Possess a valid US driver's license.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and qualified to obtain and/or maintain a personnel security clearance with the U.S. Government.
