The Dining Room Coordinator at Q39 BBQ Restaurant plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This position is responsible for managing guest flow, ensuring excellent service standards, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. The coordinator greets guests, handles reservations, and supports servers to enhance the overall dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates the flow of guests into the dining, patio, and bar areas.
• Ensures dining room and wait stations are ready for service at the beginning of the shift.
• Greets and acknowledges incoming guests warmly and graciously upon arrival.
• Rotates guest seating appropriately around the restaurant.
• Maps out large parties using Party Guide.
• Manages wait list and quotes wait times to guests.
• Records all guest information accurately into the reservation system.
• Takes and manages reservation arrivals to minimize wait time.
• Seats guests based on preferences while balancing customer flow in service stations.
• Accommodates special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Places proper silverware count, offers menus, informs guests of their server's name, and provides water service if needed.
• Inspects tables for proper presentation and cleanliness.
• Relays messages to servers as needed.
• Notifies a manager of any guest complaints, regardless of severity.
• Thanks guests as they leave and invites them to return.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant setting.
