About the position

The Dining Room Manager at Mount Angel Towers is responsible for overseeing the dining experience for residents, guests, and staff. This role involves managing the dining room staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service in a restaurant-style setting. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Organize the Dining Room staff to provide a restaurant-style dining experience for residents.
• Ensure the Dining Room is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ensure dining room supplies are stocked and tables are prepped for service.
• Hire new staff and train all wait staff in service standards.
• Schedule dining room staff to ensure all meals and events are sufficiently covered.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate staffing needed for special events or activities with the Activities Director.
• Report to the Executive Director any resident or guest complaints or requests and ensure they are resolved promptly.

Requirements

• Ability to utilize Microsoft applications - Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and orally.
• At least 1 year previous experience as Dining Room Coordinator or Lead.
• Ability to work weekends and special events.
• Must pass the Oregon Division of Human Services Criminal Background Check and pre-employment drug screen.
