About the position
The Dining Services Assistant Director II at Chartwells K12 is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of food service in a small to medium volume location. This role involves managing a team, developing talent, maintaining client relationships, and supporting financial goals while ensuring the delivery of nutritious and high-quality food to students.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day food service operations.
- Manage and lead a team of associates.
- Develop talent and manage client relationships.
- Support financial goals in the assigned area.
- Work with the Chef and management team to create nutritious food.
- Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.
- Maintain excellent relationships with clients.
- Train and develop associates.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of food service supervisory or lead experience.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Financial experience and business acumen skills.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
- Associate's degree is preferred.
