About the position

The Director, Agile Product Owner will lead a cross-functional team to deliver capabilities and solutions in an agile manner, acting as the voice of the end-user. This role focuses on defining and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business strategies, and optimizing the flow of value through effective management of deliverables and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Define, prioritize and ensure a ready backlog of work for a cross-functional product team.
  • Effectively manage a backlog of deliverables and capabilities, including experimentation for future deliverables.
  • Translate business strategies into execution-ready work for an Agile product team.
  • Articulate team goals and strategy to stakeholders and team members.
  • Act as the voice of the end-user, ensuring needs and requirements are clearly defined.
  • Own team backlog, including prioritization and refinement, making trade-off decisions to maximize value.
  • Set objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for solutions to optimize value flow.
  • Inform and participate in business readiness, managing change adoption and resistance.
  • Provide feedback on work-in-progress and contribute to removing roadblocks.
  • Partner with leaders to determine resources required for business outcomes.
  • Share best practices across teams for alignment and consistency.
  • Foster an innovative, inclusive, and diverse team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in Agile product management preferred.
  • Two years of work experience within the supported discipline preferred.
  • Three years of experience articulating and translating business strategy and product vision preferred.
