About the position

The Director of Digital Product Management for HomeCare Digital at Medline Industries is responsible for enhancing the customer buying experience through the development and implementation of new web features and enhancements. This role requires collaboration across various functions to identify, develop, and execute the eCommerce product roadmap. The Director will oversee the daily operations of the Digital Product Management team, ensuring that the team effectively evaluates, prioritizes, develops, manages, implements, and tests new eCommerce initiatives aimed at improving customer experience. In this position, the Director will work closely with Information Systems (IS) to plan and manage the release of new website features and enhancements. They will oversee daily scrum activities to identify and create new features and enhancements, serving as the primary liaison and escalation point within the eCommerce organization for cross-functional partners. The Director will also be responsible for creating and maintaining the eCommerce product roadmap to meet both current and future customer and business needs. Building and fostering cross-functional relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization is crucial to gain support for the eCommerce product roadmap and to drive the adoption and utilization of new systems and products. Management responsibilities include leading multiple managers and providing leadership to one or more major departments. The Director will engage in strategic, tactical, and operational planning for the function or department, with direct budgetary responsibility for one or more departments or major projects. They will interpret and execute policies for departments/projects, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing ones, and handle hiring, performance reviews, and staff development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and mentor a team of Product Owners to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement, and test new eCommerce initiatives.
  • Work closely with IS to plan and manage the release of new website features and enhancements.
  • Oversee day-to-day scrum activities to identify and create new features and enhancements.
  • Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact within the eCommerce organization for cross-functional partners.
  • Create and maintain the eCommerce product roadmap to meet customer and business needs.
  • Foster cross-functional relationships with stakeholders to gain support for the eCommerce product roadmap.
  • Work with stakeholders to execute and drive adoption of new systems and products.
  • Solicit feedback from stakeholders to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage multiple managers and provide leadership to major departments.
  • Engage in strategic, tactical, and operational planning for the function or department.
  • Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and recommend new policies or modifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 8 years of eCommerce experience managing technical projects or programs.
  • At least 4 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring and developing staff.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, developing business use cases, user stories, and strategic planning.
  • Experience maintaining product ownership and providing support for features and enhancements post-go-live.
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to evaluate performance and identify gaps in eCommerce offerings.
  • Understanding of web technology fundamentals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience implementing best practices related to eCommerce projects.
  • Prior experience with user acceptance testing (UAT).
