About the position

The Director of Digital Revenue Products at Southwest Airlines plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Digital Revenue Products Teams, ensuring that customers can effectively discover and purchase the airline's revenue products through various digital channels. This position is crucial as digital channels contribute to over 90% of the company's revenue performance. The Director will be responsible for crafting a digital vision, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and implementing product improvements that prioritize customer empathy. This strategic role requires a leader who can inspire a large cross-functional team and drive the company's vision of being the Most Loved, Most Efficient, and Most Profitable airline during the travel journey. In addition to leading the digital product teams, the Director will establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital revenue initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall company goals. The role involves engaging with multiple departments to foster strong collaboration and ensure cohesive strategies across all digital touchpoints. The Director will also partner with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that digital changes meet objectives and are effectively implemented in the market. Responsibilities

  • Develops, empowers, and holds accountable multiple cross-disciplinary digital product teams including product management, design, research, analytics, and content management skillsets across revenue product teams.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital revenue initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Engages and supports multiple other departments at Southwest to ensure strategic roadmap is aligned to achieve Southwest's vision.
  • Partners with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure digital changes achieve objectives and ship to market effectively.
  • Ensures team has the right skills, capabilities, and is best supported to positively improve the revenue generation journeys for Customers across the Customer lifecycle.
  • Inspires team with a strategic vision grounded in Customer and Coheart feedback as well as quantitative and qualitative understanding of travel journey opportunities.
  • Leverage customer insights and feedback to drive the development of digital products that meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Leads executive updates, engages across the Company, and works to communicate internally and externally about the team's mission, opportunities, and outcomes.
  • Develops cross-functional relationships across Southwest departments including Marketing, Travel Products, Revenue Management, Customer Service & Support, Customer Experience, Technology, and others.
  • Utilizes the right tools for the job to build new digital capabilities & communications while being able to navigate multiple delivery styles.
  • Continuously seek out and implement innovative solutions to enhance the digital customer experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple business areas through subordinate Sr Leaders.
  • Expert level Business Acumen in multiple areas with understanding of broad business impacts.
  • Seasoned and specialized knowledge in Digital Product Management on web, app and digital communication platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of digital communications, content development, digital personalization, and digital analytics.
