About the position

The Director of Dining Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a dining account, ensuring high-quality food service and client satisfaction. This role involves managing a team, maintaining client relations, and implementing culinary programs while meeting financial goals. The position emphasizes exceptional hospitality and culinary excellence, aiming to create a positive dining experience for residents and clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for a dining account.
• Manage and lead a team of associates.
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers, guests, and clients.
• Work with the Chef and management team to create menus and provide top-quality food.
• Oversee all P&L and budgeting related to the account.
• Develop and implement overall operating strategy aligned with business goals.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Lead team meetings and create a positive work environment.
• Review resident satisfaction results and implement improvements as needed.
• Empower employees to provide excellent service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Culinary preferred.
• Three to five years of foodservice operation experience.
• High volume production and catering experience.
• Previous experience managing a budget.
• Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
• Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and various computer programs.
• ServSafe certification.

Nice-to-haves

• B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus four years of directly related experience preferred.
• Five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience.
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality and sanitation.
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience.
