About the position

The Director of Product Marketing for Venmo will lead the marketing strategy and execution for Venmo's product portfolio. This role involves shaping product vision, strategy, and go-to-market approaches while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product adoption and usage. The ideal candidate will manage a team of product marketing managers and redefine marketing processes to align with Venmo's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for Venmo's products.
• Lead the end-to-end go-to-market strategy, including product launches and marketing campaigns.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product development and marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Sales teams to align on product vision and market needs.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of product marketing initiatives.
• Manage and mentor a team of product marketing managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Engage senior stakeholders across the company to keep them informed about performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of product marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and growing digital products in a competitive market.
• Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of market research and customer insights.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
