About the position

The Director of Product Marketing for Venmo will lead the marketing strategy and execution for Venmo's product portfolio. This role involves shaping the product vision, strategy, and go-to-market approach while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product adoption and usage. The ideal candidate will manage a team of product marketing managers and redefine the PMM process to ensure Venmo's success in reaching new audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for Venmo's products.
• Lead the end-to-end go-to-market strategy, including product launches and marketing campaigns.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product development and marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Sales teams to align on product vision and market needs.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of product marketing initiatives.
• Manage and mentor a team of product marketing managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Engage senior stakeholders across the company to keep them informed about performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of product marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and growing digital products in a competitive market.
• Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of market research and customer insights.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing a team of 10+ individuals to generate revenue growth.
