About the position
Lifesteps is hiring Direct Care Staff for the Indiana, PA area. Lifesteps, a local human service agency that has been in business for over 100 years, is immediately hiring compassionate and caring staff to work with adults who have disabilities in a residential home setting in the Indiana, PA area. Specific job address will be provided upon job offer. Direct Care Aides (Caregivers) assist adult individuals with their daily living skills and home care, such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, personal care assistance, medication administration, and goal attainment. Lifesteps offers steady, full-time hours! This Full Time position works a set two week rotation working 40hrs a week. Week 1: 3pm-7am Monday, 3pm-11pm Friday, and 3pm-7am Saturday. Week 2: 11pm-7am Sunday, 3pm-11pm Monday, Tuesday, 11pm-7am Thursday and Friday. No experience necessary! Paid training provided! Experienced home health aides and direct support professionals welcome!
Responsibilities
- Assist adult individuals with daily living skills and home care
- Provide personal care assistance
- Administer medication
- Support individuals in goal attainment
- Perform cooking and cleaning duties
- Help with shopping needs
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances
Nice-to-haves
