About the position

No experience is required for the Personal Care Assistant position at Pennswood Village, where both full-time and part-time roles are available. The organization provides Med Tech training to ensure that all staff are well-prepared to deliver high-quality care. The role involves working under the direction of the nurse-in-charge to deliver personal patient care to residents in the Personal Care unit. This includes planning and completing patient care assignments, assisting patients with all activities of daily living, and maintaining the personal rights of all patients through knowledge of and advocacy of the Patient Bill of Rights. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will establish safe and accurate working habits in the delivery of individual patient care. Participation in ongoing education is encouraged to extend knowledge and improve skills as required by the Department of Human Services (DHS). Additionally, you will be involved in the individual patient plan of care as part of an interdisciplinary team and may also participate in the orientation of new staff members. Responsibilities
