About the position

The Direct Care Provider - Life Coach position at AAROW of Idaho PLLC involves providing compassionate support to high-functioning developmentally disabled adults in their home environment. The role focuses on assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and facilitating social integration within the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their home setting.
• Assist participants with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, household chores, and medication management.
• Implement individualized support plans and behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of supervisors and behavioral specialists.
• Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence, community integration, and socialization.
• Encourage participation in recreational and social activities both within the home and in the community.
• Document participant progress, behaviors, and any incidents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including case managers, therapists, and family members, to ensure coordinated care and support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Reliable and compassionate with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
• Must pass background check(s).
