About the position

The Frontend Developer position is a one-year contract role based in Lansing, MI, requiring a hybrid work arrangement with two days onsite each week. The role involves collaborating with development teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts to create and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust. Candidates must have a strong understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design, as well as experience with various programming frameworks and languages.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts.
• Develop and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust.
• Test all development for accessibility using Jaws reader and multiple browser plugins.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with React.js.
• 5 years of experience with HTML5 and CSS Frameworks.
• 5 years of strong knowledge of ADA, WCAG 2.1, Section 508 compliance policies, and User Experience design principles.
• 3 years of experience with current JAVA, including relevant IDE tools such as Eclipse/Jboss Developer Studio.
• 2 years of experience programming in projects using JPA framework.
• 2 years of experience programming in projects using current Spring framework.
• 2 years of experience programming with Spring Boot and Spring Data.
• 3 years of experience programming with Java 8+.
• 2 years of experience participating as a programmer within an Agile development environment.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience programming in the JBOSS Enterprise environment.
