About the position

The IT Project Manager, Sr. is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves coordinating resources, managing project teams, and liaising with stakeholders to achieve project objectives. The Senior level indicates a focus on larger and more complex projects, requiring a seasoned professional capable of independent work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects involving network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, PC deployment, and similar projects.
  • Coordinate work with IT staff and internal customers by defining project requirements and performing feasibility assessments.
  • Develop detailed project plans and manage implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, and documentation.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders clearly and timely.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis and manage project expectations.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, providing status reports and analyzing results.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful elements.
  • Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and draft budget proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or business (equivalent professional experience may be considered).
  • 5 years of specific professional experience such as team or project lead.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management concepts, processes, and tools.
  • Well-developed technical skills within project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or business (equivalent professional experience may be considered) with 5-8 years of experience.
