About the position

The Lead Android Developer with TV Development Experience will be responsible for leading the development of Android applications, specifically focusing on TV platforms. This role requires extensive hands-on experience in Android development, particularly with Kotlin and Android TV SDK. The position emphasizes good UX design and the ability to create high-level and low-level designs. The developer will work onsite in Irving, TX, three days a week, and will be involved in a long-term contract lasting 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Android applications with a focus on TV platforms.
• Design and implement high-level and low-level designs (HLD & LLD).
• Collaborate with UX designers to ensure a good user experience.
• Utilize Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) for application development.
• Work with various tools and technologies including JIRA, Git, and Visual Studio.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on Android development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in Android TV (SDK) development.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Kotlin.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM).
• Good UX design experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Java.
• Knowledge of Reactive Programming.
• Familiarity with Android Jetpack.
• Experience with Xamarin Forms.
• Proficiency in using JIRA, Visual Studio, and Git.
