About the position

The QA Test Analyst position at Dimondale, MI, is a one-year contract role focused on supporting Treasury within the Department of Technology Management and Budget. The role involves managing test activities, ensuring effective communication between business representatives and the test team, and producing necessary documentation for quality assurance testing. The analyst will engage in functional and integration testing, coordinate defect re-testing, and assist in the overall testing process to ensure the delivery of high-quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Support all test activities and manage communications with business test representatives.
• Produce reports, presentations, and meeting minutes for quality assurance testing assignments.
• Communicate and interact with BA and development teams during requirements, development, and testing processes.
• Assist in creating scenarios to meet validation of acceptance criteria for customer requirements.
• Undertake all system test-related activities in support of business requirements for new and updated systems.
• Conduct functional and integration testing and liaise with third-party staff for appropriate test coverage.
• Perform Quality Assurance checks during third-party meetings and internal developments.
• Attend meetings and workshops to cover test-dependent activities such as requirement verification and prioritization.
• Ensure test scenarios and scripts are prepared in a structured way and approved by stakeholders.
• Create allocated test scripts, monitor test execution, and ensure results are recorded.
• Coordinate re-testing of defects and issues with business test representatives or third-party providers.
• Prepare and maintain relevant test documentation, including test scripts and reports.
• Act as a liaison with each line of business regarding test planning and results analysis.
• Manage time, reporting, risk, issue management, quality assurance, and change management.
• Support other test team members and associated IT and Business resources as needed.

Requirements

• Experience with SAP Financials, preferably TRM.
• Proficiency in web-based testing and customer-facing interaction.
• Strong skills in test planning, execution, defect tracking, and requirement analysis.
• Familiarity with test tools such as SolMan Test Suite, HPALM, TFS, RQM, or any QA tracking tools.
• Preferred experience in automation testing.
