About the position

The Tableau Reports Developer position is a senior-level role focused on developing and maintaining Tableau reports, supporting existing .NET applications, and participating in the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a new SACWIS system. The candidate will work closely with the System Integrator to ensure knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance of the solution, while also being responsible for creating and maintaining SSRS reports and SSIS ETL packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop Tableau Reports according to user requirements and deploy them to the report server or integrated SharePoint report server.
• Assist in the design and development of database architecture including relational data structures, data marts, and logical and physical data models.
• Develop strategies for data acquisition, data quality, and data discrepancy.
• Assist in migration and integration of data and processes from legacy systems to new applications and technologies.
• Develop and maintain efficient, well-documented custom SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers using Microsoft T-SQL.
• Access data stored in various database management systems such as DB2 and SQL Server.
• Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion, cleansing, and business rules execution.
• Implement Data Analytics best practices in designing data modeling and ETL pipelines.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts and users to validate requirements.
• Implement solutions to integrate external data with in-house data.
• Perform tests and validate data flows and prepare ETL processes according to business requirements.
• Design and implement a data conversion strategy from legacy to new platforms.
• Perform design validation, reconciliation, and error handling in data load processes.
• Optimize SSIS Package execution and SQL execution to enhance data load performance.
• Design SSIS packages using data exchange tasks such as file transfer and secured file transfer.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of prior experience in relevant fields.
• More than 5 years of experience with Tableau.
• More than 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
• More than 5 years of expertise with TSQL, SSRS, SSIS, or Talend.
• Experience with debugging and improving query performance.
• Experience with deploying SSIS packages using git check-in and setting up environmental variables.
• Experience with Transact-SQL and stored procedures.
• Experience with creating, deploying, and maintaining Talend reports.
• Experience with code control/version Team Foundation.
