About the position

The Python Developer position is responsible for developing, programming, and coding IT solutions using Python to enhance Client Customer Experience applications. The role includes documentation, conducting unit tests, peer code reviews, and maintaining internally developed applications, as well as evaluating and performance testing purchased products. The developer will also implement IT controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and code IT solutions using Python.
• Document the system and conduct unit tests.
• Perform peer code reviews and maintain internally developed applications.
• Evaluate and perform testing on purchased products.
• Implement IT controls to protect application and data integrity.
• Develop REST APIs using Python and process batch files.
• Schedule batch processes and manage tasks independently.

Requirements

• Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design, and documentation protocol.
• Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback.
• Excellent communication skills for technical information.
• In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle.
• Knowledge of databases such as SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Excellent understanding of RESTful architecture and Python programming.
• Experience developing REST APIs and processing batch files using Python.
• Proficiency in standard desktop applications like MS Suite and flowcharting tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in various domains such as Health Care or Financial.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Ab Initio development experience.
